Nasruddin Rupani is a philanthropist and a highly successful entrepreneur. Based in Houston, he is the President of World’s Gold & Diamonds, Inc and US Insurance Funding, Inc.
A civil engineer by education from NYU, Nasruddin chose entrepreneurship as a career. He created a huge network of convenience stores in Austin, Texas before moving on to Houston. The glitter of diamonds caught his eye and he created what is now one of the largest wholesalers and importer of fine diamond jewelry in the entire southwest region. The company, World’s Gold & Diamonds, Inc. (WGD), well established for over a decade, enjoys increasing confidence and reputation in the jewelry trade. Its products are in great demand not only in the US and North America but around the world.

Nasru, as he is lovingly called, has the causes of Community service and humanitarian values very close to his heart. He is the Founder and Chairman of Ibn Sina Foundation. This not-for-profit foundation has been established to provide high quality medical care at affordable cost to underserved and underprivileged population in Houston. The Foundation, now in its tenth year, has crossed milestones that would have otherwise remained unachievable, had it not been for his efforts and constant support.
He is a board member, patron and advisor for several not-for-profit organizations. His expertise in managing and nurturing community service institutions makes him a highly respected and sought-after figure in the Houston community.
