Ibn Sina Community Clinic, South Post Oak
Ibn Sina Foundation, for a period of ten years, has refined a model of care that successfully serves unemployed/low-income population with the greatest need for care and helps to avoid emergency room visits. We seek to be in the forefront of meeting these challenges of unemployed/low-income population by expanding our capacity to provide low-cost, high-quality, medical and dental care to all who need it.
We believe that opening a new clinic on South Post Oak will help us alleviate the burden on the frequency of emergency rooms-visits and hospitals-out patient sick visits and admissions, while allowing us to refine our model, leading to easier replication at future clinic sites. The new clinic will provide necessary medical, dental, and specialty care to low-income clients regardless of whether they have health insurance. This will also help us to provide education on prevention and health practices that can reduce the impact of chronic health conditions, like heart disease, diabetes and other chronic health conditions which are currently endemic in the population we serve.
