We are pleased to announce that Nayamat Shah has joined the Ibn Sina Foundation as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Shah brings over 40 years of experience in managing medium to large healthcare programs and has worked extensively on strategic development with various governments in South and Central Asia. He has held numerous senior-level positions within the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), including roles such as Country Program Coordinator, Country Director, and Chief Executive Officer at agencies like Aga Khan Health Services.
Before joining the Ibn Sina Foundation, Shah served as the Director General of the Peshawar Institute of Cardiology in Pakistan. As a healthcare professional, he brings a diverse and rich cultural and professional experience in managing large-scale healthcare programs and institutions.
Along with holding a degree in medicine, he holds a Masters degree in Health Care Administration from the University of Wales, UK, a Diploma in Tuberculosis Control and Epidemiology from Tokyo, Japan, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Care Management in Tropical Countries from the Swiss Tropical Institute, Switzerland.
