Dr. Nayamat Shah joins Ibn Sina Foundation as new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on October 01, 2024

Dr. Nayamat Shah has joined Ibn Sina Foundation USA as Chief Executive Officer from October 1, 2024. Dr. Shah was born in Hunza valley in Northern Pakistan and has completed his MBBS from Nishtar Medical College, Pakistan. He qualified Master’s degree Health Care Administration from University of Wales, UK. Dr. Shah also obtained Diploma in Tuberculosis Control and Epidemiology from Tokyo, Japan and a Post Graduate Diploma in Health Care Management in Tropical Countries from Swiss Tropical Institute, Switzerland.

Dr. Shah brings with him 40 years of experience managing medium to large health programmes in Pakistan and Central Asia. He has worked with the Government of Gilgit - Baltistan (GB) as Deputy Director General Strategic Planning, FOCUS Humanitarian Assistance, Afghanistan as Country Programme Coordinator, Regional Programme program Director Northern Afghanistan, Chief Executive Officer for Aga Khan Health services, Tajikistan and Country Director, Aga Khan Health Services, Afghanistan. Dr. Shah has served as chief Executive Officer, the French Medical Institute for Mothers and children (FMIC) Kabul, Afghanistan an AKDN managed tertiary care hospital from 2014-2019. Before joining Ibn Sina Foundation USA, Dr. Shah worked as Hospital Director at Peshawar Institute of Cardiology, KPK Pakistan.
