Kim is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapy Associate supervised by Cherie Spellmen LMFT-S. Kim received her Bachelor of Arts in Human Development and Family Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin and graduated with a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California. Kim works primarily from a person-centered approach with incorporations of Internal Family System (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Kim is trained in Brainspotting, a focused treatment method that works by identifying, processing and releasing core neurophysiological sources of emotional/body pain, trauma, dissociation and a variety of challenging symptoms. A few areas of clinical interest include body image, self-esteem, anxiety, friendships and holistic health. Kim describes herself as having a down-to-earth nature, sense of humor, and personable demeanor.
